Pupil Groups
Your child will learn in a variety of different contexts and groups including ability, cooperative and social. Across Hayshead we have a number of learning opportunities for our children to lead learning, take responsibility and make decisions. This takes the form of our House Captains, School Council, Digital Leaders, Sustainable Citizens and P7 Buddies.
House Captains
This year we have 12 House Captains. There are three from each house, Seaton, Springfield, Victoria and Carnegie.
The House Captains work on different house events with Mrs Fox.
School Council
The School Council has a member from each class in the school. They get together for meetings every two weeks and share the views of the pupils in their classes. We represnt the views of the pupils in our class.
Sustainable Citizens
The Sustainable Citizens work alongside Mr Grogan. They have taken charge of the work looking at getting our Rights Respecting Schools award. They have already achieved the Bronze Award and are working toward the silver award.
Digital Leaders
The digital leaders take charge of the digital technology in the school. They are on hand to help with problems with the ipads and chromebooks. They help to teach the younger pupils how to use technology and alongside Mrs Riach they hold a lunchtime club.
